                               PsychoNauts: The Story of Razputin

PsychoNauts is a game in which you control a boy named Razputin. Razputin, (also called Raz) just escaped form a circus, and stumbled across a psychic camp disguised as a summer camp. The camp calls Raz's parents, and allow Raz to stay in the summer camp for a while. They eventually find out that Raz has strong psychic powers, and they test him to see how strong he really his. During a test, Raz goes into his own head and sees a weird vision. Two people at camp seem to be taking the brains out of people. Raz tries to find out more, but a mental barrier blocks his way. Eventually Raz finds out that these two people are taking the kids' brains and putting them in so called death tanks. To free people from the curse of brain removal, Raz enters various people's brains, and the player completes puzzles and fights monsters to defeat the evil lurking inside their brains. Finally, Raz manages to find the people behind the operation, a man called Dr.Loboto and another called Oleander. Dr.Loboto somehow manages to fall off a tower, so Raz has to fight Oleander face to face. Upon beating him, Oleander uses his last resort which is getting a super sneezing powder, causing Raz to sneeze his brains out. Raz has no choice, and has to put his brain into a death tank, and fuses with Oleander to see his brain. Raz and the player find out that Oleander was frightened of his father, and in Oleander's head the player has to escort baby Oleander called Little Oly. After escorting him, the player has to fight Oleander's father, a butcher. After beating him, Raz's own father shows up and the player beats him too. After this, Raz and Oleander's brains go to their proper bodies, as well as everyone who was captured. Raz is then made a fully fledged Psychonaut. However, news comes that the Grand Head of the camp has been captured, and the game ends with the Psychonauts flying off to rescue him. Psychonauts is a great game but it still has a few problems that needed to be sorted out. For one thing, one of the levels is way too dark, and by that I mean you really couldn't really see anything. This made the level very difficult. Another thing is the lack of hints. Some puzzles are very hard to figure out in this game, and the player will be forced to use a guide to solve them. Another thing is the psychic power usage. Some powers will probably only be used once or twice in one level, while others will be used more than ten times. There should be a more balanced power usage if the makers are planning to make Psychonauts 2. I would recommend you to actually buy Psychonauts, or at least watch a walkthrough of it to make your mind, because it really is a great game. I give Psychonauts a 7.5/10.
