Borderlands: Your average FPSRPG

Borderlands is a unique game that was released in late 2009 by Gearbox. Why is it unique? It is an FPSRPG which stands for First Person Shooter Role Playing Game. Borderlands gives itself the power of games like Call of Duty but combine them with elements of Role Playing Games. It does this by giving it things like quests, loot, free roaming features, and many areas. The game also has a system that allows it to randomly generate any one of 2 million+ guns, meaning you will never get the same gun twice. The game also has online 4 player Co-op which allows you to play with friends but on a harder difficulty. The game is also very long and it also has 4 different characters persuading the player to play again with a different character. The game also can be used to just relax or have fun fighting against friends in arenas. Borderlands also has 4 DLC (Down loadable Content) packs, each of which add new quests, enemies, and levels and items. With the success of the first game Gearbox are giving a few hints and there about Borderlands 2. Borderlands is a very fun and interesting game, but like every other game it has it's faults. Unlike most Role Playing Games this game punishes you for going into areas that are too high leveled for you. The game will only send enemies one or two levels higher than you, but for some weird reason they are able to kill you super easily. There are also a few bugs, which are expected for an RPG and the camera occasionally glitches out. Other than that, I can't think of anything else that's bad with the game. I give Borderlands a 9/10.
